Guidelines for Editors

Editors play a critical role in maintaining the quality and credibility of scholarly publishing. At Innovative Research Publication, we appoint respected experts from various research disciplines who are committed to upholding the highest editorial standards. Below are the key guidelines and responsibilities expected of editors:

  • Oversee Peer Review: Editors are responsible for managing the peer-review process and must be prepared to take full responsibility for accepting or rejecting submitted manuscripts.
  • Assign Reviewers: Based on the subject or research area, editors will assign manuscripts to suitable reviewers to ensure a fair and thorough evaluation
  • Review Evaluation: Editors should base their decisions on feedback from at least two reviewers and may consult with other editors or the Editor-in-Chief for additional input when needed.
  • Ensure Unbiased Evaluation: Manuscripts should be evaluated solely on their academic merit, originality, and relevance to the journal’s scope—regardless of the authors’ background, affiliation, nationality, race, religion, or political views.
  • Encourage Feedback: Editors should seek input from authors, readers, reviewers, and the editorial board to improve the journal’s standards, processes, and submission quality.
  • Monitor Reviewer Performance: Editors are expected to track the consistency and quality of peer reviewers and be prepared to explain any significant deviations from the established review protocol.
  • Editorial Contributions: Editors are encouraged to write an editorial every six months, reflecting on current research trends relevant to the journal's focus area.
  • Constructive Feedback: Feedback provided to authors should be timely, unbiased, and constructive, aiming to help them improve their work.
  • Scope-Based Recommendations: If a submission falls outside the journal’s scope, editors may recommend a more suitable journal for the manuscript.
